Using the "Gold Getter" Rocker box

Following are instructions for those that are not familiar with this type of

Gold retriever

Using the rocker its fairly simple, just a matter of some practice. The two main factors that make it work is water flow, the amount of pressure water is coming into box, either from stream, water hose or water pump. The other is the angle of box (front lower than back). Like any sluice with riffles the main thing is not to let the riffles clog. If the top of riffles do not show you will loose Gold.

The amount of rocking the box depends mostly on water flow, the less water the more you must rock the box to move the material, this takes some practice while watching how the material moves down the sluice. If enough water pressure is used, very little or no rocking is necessary.

When the angle is right the larger gravel will keep moving while the smaller gravel will gather in front of the riffles about an inch or two, and behind the riffle about an inch.

When using any sluice system its necessary to move some of the heavier gravel by hand. Depending on water pressure it may be necessary to move material when pouring it in the rock box as some larger rocks may clog screen. The rock box can be removed to check bottom of box for gold, also slide tray out to check for gold as often as your curiosity demands.

When using rocker as a sluice (at a stream that has enough water flow to move the gravel in sluice), remove the back and follow the preceding instructions.

The best feature about this type of GOLD GETTER is that it can be used as a HIGHBANKER, either as a rocker or as a sluice.

A HELPFUL IDEA FROM A HELPFUL CUSTOMER IS TO PLACE THE ROCKER ON A 5 GALLON BUCKET, MAKES IT EASIER TO DETERMINE THE ANGLE OF BOX AND KEEP IT OFF THE GROUND. I TRIED IT, IT WORKS!.

It is a great advantage to be able to connect water to the rock box or to the bottom connection, this again, will be a matter of choice and practice.

Rocker can also be used when water is self-contained, such as a water pump recycling the water in a tub, at home or in the desert, etc, 12 volt motorcycle battery with a 12 volt pump works great.

When the time comes to clean up, the fast way is to immerse the front of box in a bucket and rinse carpet off with hose or splash water onto carpet. All that remains to do is pan out what is in the bucket to get the Gold!

As to final cleanup, (this step need not be done for longer periods of time), remove front bolt, remove riffles. Carefully roll up carpet, rinse carpet and inside of box thoroughly into a container, bucket, etc. as this is where Gold may be that was not visible in sluice.

The same principle applies no matter how you use a sluice,

it’s all about water pressure and angle of sluice.

My wish is that whoever uses the "GOLD GETTER" will enjoy every moment in the great outdoors, and find more Gold than they could ever imagine.
